Learning About Technology

On May 30, we met at Mary Alice's house to discuss ways to use technology (and some dangers associated with using it).

Megan McQuivey talked to us about blogs. She knows the author of the blog DesignMom and told us some of her story. Megan showed us excerpts from her blog and talked about how she had it made into a book so that her children could look at it.
Julia Blake gave us some information about Instagram. She really likes it and uses it for both business and personal posts. She often posts the same things on Facebook at the same time.
Crystal Schreck gave us some pointers on Facebook and Google Plus. We discussed a comparison of the privacy policies of each of these social networks and came to the conclusion that you should always assume that anything you post online is not really private information.

Kristine Bullen showed us the ins and outs of You Tube and talked about online music sources.
It was an enjoyable and informative evening. Many thanks to Mary Alice for hosting us!
